With over 24 years in South Africa’s film and television industry, I bring a rare mix of creative vision, leadership, and production expertise to my role as Producer at Nala Pictures. My career spans scripted series, large-scale formats, corporate projects, and executive management, anchored by a commitment to stories that resonate with audiences. I began in the early 2000s at the height of reality TV, working across SABC, e.tv, and MultiChoice. These years sharpened my skills in high-volume production, audience engagement, and brand storytelling, while my independent projects reflected a passion for socially grounded narratives. In 2010, I helped launch Mzansi Magic, producing its first show and supervising its inaugural slate of films. Three years later, I co-produced the inaugural Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) in Lagos, now one of the continent’s most prestigious screen events. As Commissioning Editor at Mzansi Magic and Africa Magic, I shaped pan-African content strategies, gaining insight into regional trends and cross-cultural storytelling. Beyond the screen, I founded the Limpopo Television and Film School / Infinity Campus in 2015, one of South Africa’s first MICT-SETA accredited film schools, earning the 2017 SAFTA Outstanding Provincial Contributor Award. I’ve also served on NFVF funding panels and as a SAFTA jury member, contributing to industry growth nationally. In 2022, I became General Manager at Clive Morris Productions, overseeing operations, finance, and strategic growth while continuing to drive content creation. My latest work signals a return to passion-driven storytelling. In 2023, I produced and directed #IGotCut, Nala Pictures’ first independent documentary, inspired by a close friend’s experience of female genital mutilation in Sudan. Launching in October 2025, it reflects my dedication to ethical storytelling, women’s rights, and social justice. I hold an MFA from AFDA and am pursuing a PhD on women’s roles in South African film and television from apartheid to today. Through Nala Pictures, I remain committed to producing work that is unapologetically African, socially relevant, and globally resonant; stories that entertain, challenge and endure.
End to end production and events. Simple engagement. Premium output.
